This spring ended up being busier than I expected on the art front and I am happy about it :) After the workshop at Havnekulturfestival, I got invited to exhibit 3 works together with other 7 artists at the Nordfyns Billedskole - North Fyn Art school in Otterup, a village located north of Odense, you can find more info visiting the website of the school: http://www.nordfyns-billedskole.dk/aktuelle-arrangementer1 This is the invitation to the exhibition that I have received from the organiser, with our names and a glimpse of our art. On the top-right corner you can see the image of my withering elephant-azalea flower. I guess the organizer found my elephant intriguing and used it for their poster and it makes me flattered. I have to exhibit 3 pieces, this means that I have to find two other paintings, I will not reveal them until the start of the exhibition: 1. I do not know yet which one I am going to show ;) 2. Not to spoil the surprise for those who might attend, I hope to see some known faces ;) In the meanwhile, we are almost in June. Azalea, lilac, roses and tulips are all blooming, it is time I go back to the Japanese Gardens a magical place full of inspiration. My artjournal The Form of a Flower is developing as a meditative evening practice, to end on a poetic note, I post here the sketches of pearl hyacinth and aquilegia. Pearl hyacinth - Muscari Deep black mouths Dark holes A quiet choir in a strenuous effort Aquilegia Grape of flowers Long neck birds Tubular faces Swan song Thank you for stopping by
